Thoughts On iPhone/iPod Touch 2.0 Software, App Store and Apps
After much frustration from the iTunes glitch yesterday that prevented the download of the 2.0 software, I’m now officially on 2.0. I was finally able to download the latest software for my iPod Touch, after shelling out $10.
I guess, most of the differences of the 2.0 software will really be felt by iPhone users as opposed to iPod Touch users. The major things that I’ve noticed so far is the new Apps and the scientific calculator. The rest I’m still trying out.
I’m waiting for Mobile Me’s free 60 day trial to be active so I can fully maximize the 2.0 software. We’ll see how that goes.
As for the App store, it’s pretty good. It launched with 500 plus apps. Most of them are great and some are not so. I’ve downloaded Apple’s remote, AIM and I also bought and downloaded Super Monkey Ball. Now that game is pretty awesome. Cool game + accelerometer = hours of wasted but fun times. I tried AIM but I’m having trouble connecting my iPod Touch to the home network. I’m not sure if there’s something wrong with my iPod or the Time Capsule. At any case it sucks.
There’s still some cool apps I want to try. I’ll post my reviews in the coming posts.
